More Financial Help for HDB Residents Who Need Flats with Direct Lift Access
To better support seniors and residents with mobility needs, the Lift Access Housing Grant (LHG) has been increased by almost threefold, effective from 6 April 2025. This grant helps residents move to flats with full lift access, improving everyday convenience and safety.
New LHG Grant Amounts from 6 April 2025:

Residents can use this grant to purchase either a new flat from HDB or a resale flat with direct lift access.
Why It Matters
While 99% of HDB blocks today have lifts on every floor, a small number of blocks still lack full lift access. These are usually older flats built before the Lift Upgrading Programme (LUP) was introduced. The revised LHG provides a meaningful solution for those urgently needing barrier-free access due to medical or mobility concerns.
